Redefining the Value of Community College
As Columbus State Community College began returning to in-person operations in Autumn 2021, the time was ripe for a fresh advertising campaign. Marketing was charged with developing an integrated recruitment campaign emphasizing positive career and transfer outcomes, along with the college’s value, flexibility and student-centered culture.
Working in close collaboration with the Director of Marketing, I helped brainstorm, refine and execute a testimonial-driven integrated marketing campaign.
“I Chose Columbus State” showcases a diverse range of student and alumni stories, including alumni working in fast-growing regional industries such as healthcare, logistics and IT. The uniting story thread – the smart choice to attend Columbus State – upends the stigma around community college by showing that Columbus State is the best choice for many students – not a compromise or a backup plan.
